NCT 127 is rumored to release the new song after their debut album in July. The main group, NCT is the implementation of a concept formulated by SM Entertainment to promote Hallyu worldwide.The group will be back with a new song to follow up their debut single “Fire Truck,” which was released last July.

Rumors on the new single circulated when Soompi reported that singer G.Soul posted a photo on Instagram, showing NCT 127 in the recording booth on Sunday, October 30. However G. Soul then took down the photo; therefore, the rumor has yet to be confirmed.

NCT is formed to implement the Cultural Technology concept formulated by founder and CEO of SM Entertainment Lee Soo-Man to nurture talents to become the next Hallyu star. The name NCT, which stands for “New Cultural Technology,” involves a plan to establish an idol group with many sub-units and unlimited number of members from all over the world.

The main sub-unit NCT U debuted in April 2016 followed by two other groups with members from China and Thailand - NCT 127 and NCT Dream. Currently there are 14 members of the NCT consist of eight Koreans, three Chinese, one Japanese and one Thai.

After NCT U debuted back in April, the sub-unit NCT 127 debuted next three monts later. The number 127 represent the longitude of Seoul, which is also SM Entertainment's headquarters.

NCT 127 released the album titled “NCT #127” on July 10, 2016 with the song “Fire Truck” as the main single. The album consists of seven songs and following its release, it ranked 2nd in the Billboard world album chart and topped many music charts in Korea. as reported by Top Star News.

In order to promote the groups, SM Entertainment created a reality show named “NCT Life” aired in Naver V-apps. The show is also aired in China and Thailand, through the Chinese streaming service Youku and Tudou, and also in Thailand’s satellite TV true4U. “NCT Life” showcased several themes depicting life in Bangkok and Seoul,, as it featured Korean cuisine as well.
