New MBC drama ‘Night Light’ tells the story of struggle and ambition [VIDEO]

MBC's new drama “Night Light” is set to air following “Woman with A Suitcase,” which will end in the third week of November. The drama tells the story about ambition and the power struggle and a rags to riches.

Two talented stars - Jin Goo and Lee Yo-Won, will play alongside a member of K-Pop group After School Uee, whose real name is Kim Yoo-Jin. According to MBC official release, the drama is slated to air in November to replace “Woman with A Suitcase” as Monday and Tuesday night drama.

Jin Goo is cast as an heir of a big company Park Gun-Woo who had a past relationship with a woman named Seo Yi-Kyung (Lee). Yi-Kyung is a woman with great ambition to build her own business empire and she aimed hard to achieve her goal. Meanwhile, Uee was cast as Lee Se-Jin, a poor woman who struggles to get out of the poverty.

Another important character of the drama, according to SE Daily, is Tak, who works for Yi-Kyun as a bodyguard.Tak gives a good companion to Se-Jin in her work with Y--Kyung. Young actor Jung Hae-In is cast as Tak.

There is no high anticipation nor warm public response for the drama, but the scriptwriter of the drama is the well-known writer Han Ji-Hoon. He is known for his capability to build an interesting story and maintain the suspense until the last episode of the drama. His last project was JTBC thriller drama “Last” in 2015 starring Yoon Kye-Sang and Lee Bum-Soo.

On Tuesday, November 8 MBC released the first trailer of the “Night Light.” The official trailer is aimed to give audience the first look of the drama which will be premiered Monday, November 21 at 10 pm KST (GMT+7).
