4,000 fans attends Park Bo-Gum fan meeting in Hong Kong

More than 4,000 fans attended the fan meeting with Park Bo-Gum in Hong Kong on Sunday, Dec.18. He will continue Asian tour next month to Jakarta, Taiwan, Tokyo, Bangkok and Singapore.

The fan meeting was held at Victoria Park, one of Hong Kong's most popular tourist destinations as reported by Yonhap News Agency. Park’s agency Blossom Entertainment also released some pictures from the event, which was the second leg of his Asian tour. He sang a Christmas Carol on stage and played games.

Park  expressed his happiness and joy to meet his fans in Hong Kong ahead of Christmas. He also said his intention to study Cantonese language so he can talk without interptreter to his Hong Kong fans as reported by KBS News.

"I am happy and grateful to spend precious time with you before Christmas," Park said. "I will work hard to learn foreign language so that I can talk fans in Hong Kong directly."

Park began to rise to stardom when he starred tvN drama “Reply 1988” drama in 2015. He played Choi-Taek, a brilliant Baduk (Go) player who had won several competitions in Asia. Previously he had been playing with veteran actor Choi Min-Shik in the highest gossing movie of all-time “The Admiral: Roaring Currents” in 2014.

The 23-year old actor has also played many roles that exhibit his acting skills. He played a psychopath in KBS drama “Hello Monster” in 2015. Before that, his first major role in another KBS drama “Cantabile Tomorrow” has earned him a nomination in 2014 KBS Awards and 4th APAN Awards.

His latest drama “Love in the Moonglight” has been received well internationally, beside success in Korea. Therefore, Blossom Entertainment decides to start Asian Tour which started in Malaysia Dec. 10, followed by last week event in Hong Kong. Afterward he will visit Jakarta, Taiwan, Tokyo, Bangkok and Singapore before closing the fan meeting Seoul in February.
