Shindong Talked About His Army Days And His Favourite Girl Group On Radio Show

Shindong who just came out from his military service on December 23, appeared on 'Kim Shin Young's Noon Song of Hope'.

On January 2, Super Juniors Shindong talked about his life in the army on the radio show. As reported in soompi, Shindong was asked about the hardest part of being in the army to which he said, "I was the oldest so I became the squad leader. Commanding others isn't very easy." Responding to this leading thing, Kim Shim Young asked him as if now he understood how difficult it is for Super Junior's leader Leeteuk, to lead the group. Shindong answered to this in a witty manner and said "I still don't really understand his perspective as a leader" which made everyone laugh.

Further Kim Shin Young talked about army life and asked, "Through music programs, what girl group did you honestly watch the most?" Shindong replied, "The group I've seen again the most is Red Velvet.  The member who is close to my ideal type is Wendy.  She's a 'good wife and wise mother' type.

The saddest moment was talking on the phone with my mother. Because it was an unknown number, she first rejected my call.  I tried again and she seemed to be talking in a sobbing way.  Tears welled up and I cried a lot" as reported in allkpop.

Shindong made his debut on November 6, 2005, with 12 member project group 'Super Junior 05'. Shindong is also popular as an active emcee and radio host of MBC's BoBoBo Ai Joa and KMTV's Green Apple Sound.

Shindong also met with a car accident on April 2007 while he was driving after a recording of the radio show 'Super Junior Kiss the Radio'.

In 2014 S.M. Entertainment announced about Shindong's enlistment in the military but due to his back problem the date was delayed and on March 2015 he went and joined his services in Incheon.
