Great news for all F(x) fans! It looks like another F(x) member is going to do a solo album.

Allkpop has reported that an SM Entertainment representative has stated on January 4 that Krystal will be debuting as a solo artist. The representative said that it will happen sometime in February. Krystal will be releasing a mini-album for her solo debut.

F(x) has had already two members debuted as solo singers. Amber released her solo in 2015 and Luna released her "Free Somebody" solo in 2016.

Fans are really excited for this news. As Netizen Buzz translated the comments, many of them are really happy about the news. A fan commented, "Hul Soojung-ah, what great news ㅠㅠㅠ." Another fan commented, "Daebak Soojung-ah ㅠㅠㅠ us poor fans have been waiting for so long ㅠㅠㅠ", while another said "I can't wait ㅠㅠㅠㅠ hul this is great news ㅠㅠ."

There are also other fans that seem to be shocked about the news. A fan stated, "Hul, a Krystal solo... is this for real...?" There are also fans who are wishing for support from SM Entertainment for F(x). They commented, "A Soojung solo ㅠㅠ SM, please support f(x) more, let's at least go with two promos this year and expand the fanclub and even have a concert."

Some fans have been thinking that Krystal might be tired of being an idol but that is definitely not the case. A few fans commented that Krystal looks like she is really enjoying being an F(x) member especially during their concerts.

Meanwhile, other fans are curious as to what type of music will SM Entertainment give Krystal for her solo debut.

What type of genre or concept do you think Krystal fits more?
