“Knowing Bros” is relatively an average rating variety show, due to its airing time on Saturday night in Korea. However, last week’s episode the ratings surge due to the appearance of AOA to promote their new album.

As a variety show airs on Saturday night, “Knowing Bros” on the cable channel JTCB, the ratings for the program usually around 2 to 3 percent. However, when AOA came to the show on episode 57, aired Jan. 7, the ratings surged to 4.1 percent in the AGB Nielsen Korea. During the airing, AOA member Seolhyun said that she is convinced the show will reached higher ratings as re-iterated by the JTBC.

In the episode 57, the variety show invited girl group AOA as their guest member. They played many games and singing their new songs “Excuse Me” and “Bing Bing.”

They played along very well with the variety show as the hosts are the star hosts. In one of the segment as noted by Donga News, the host Kim Young-Chul made a joke that the order of their position during stage performance is based on the beauty of the members. One of the member, Kim Seoul-Hyun, is a quick-witted one and answered that the order is based on the those who wear make up most often.

“Knowing Brothers” is a reality show with six star hosts Kang Ho-Dong, Kim Hee-Chul, Seo Jang-Hoon, Kim Young-Chul, Lee Soo-Geun, Min Kyung-Hoon, and Lee Sang-Min. The variety show started in December 2015 and there has been some adjustments with the program. At first the show aired at 10:00 pm, but starting January 2016, the show is moved to 11:00 pm.

AOA currently released their third album titled “Angel Knocks” released Jan. 2, 2017. In order to promote the album, their agency FNC Entertainment actively looked for the TV show where the girl group can appear to introduce their album. The variety show “Knowing Bros” is one of the the TV show which the girl group came as the guest.
