SechKies Will Wrap Up Their ‘Yellow Note’ Reunion Concert In Seoul This Month
First generation idol group SechKies will wrap up their reunion concert in Seoul. They have also released behind the scene of their Busan concert on Dec. 24 and 25 which was attended by 6,000 fans.
SechKies will end their reunion concert in Seoul on Jan. 22 according to official announcementofficial announcement by their agency YG Entertainment. The agency has also released the official poster of the final concert of the reunion.
Previously, SechKies has also released behind the scene footage from their concert in Busan as reported by Seoul Daily News. Their concert in Busan was held for two days from Dec. 24 to 25 and attended by more than 6,000 fans.
SechKies began their reunion in April 2016, initiated by the MBC’s variety show “Infinite Challenge.” The production team also managed and organized the concert which was held on April 14 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. The date was selected because April 14 is the date of their first debut in 1997.
From then on, the reunion idea to celebrate 20 years of SechKies rolled over. YG Entertainment offered the members of the group which was disbanded in 2000 to manage the entire programs.
All the members agreed to be managed by YG Entertainment and to launch their anniversary. However, one of the member Ko Ji-Yong was unable to join the reunion concert because he has become a businessman which makes him unable to participate. Ko later join the reality show “Return of Superman” with his son Seungjae.
SechKies released the remake of their 10 hit songs in the new album titled "2016 Re-ALBUM" which was re-arranged and re-produced by YG Entertainment. The album was released on Oct. 7, followed by the reunion concert series.
The first reunion concert was held in Daegu on Dec. 10, followed by Busan on Dec. 24 and 25. The reunion concert was titled “Yellow Note” to commemorate the yellow balloon which become official color of their fans. The reunion concert will be finalized in Seoul on Jan.22 at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium.
