During the early 2000s, 5tion is popular South Korean pop group. The name of the group is pronounced as Ocean as a play on words with the Korean word for '5' being 'oh'. In 2004, ee yun and Hwang Sung-hwan (John) spun off into a project group called 'After Rain'. Hwang Sung-hwan (John) departed and formed 2nise with Hojyeaon & Jogeun in mid-2010.

5tion made a comeback as a three-member group consisting of Hwan Sung-han (John), Lee Hyun & WooII, later in September 2010. Another comeback was made by the group in March 2012 with a new member roster and stage names, reuniting three original members (Oh Byung-jin, Lee Hyun & Son II-kwon) with two new members (LEN & Boseok). To reach out the international funbase the names of member were change to meet the foreign sounding.

In Japan, the boy group 5tion met with a car accident, TrippedMedia reports. On January 14, 5tion was in Nagoya, Japan to perform a concert. After completion of the event, in order to perform their next concert, the group was travelling to Osaka. Due to snow covered road the car in which they were travelling met with an accident.

During the time of accident the manager along with four 5tion members were travelling in the car. It is reported that the car crashed into a truck as it slided onto the frozen runaway. According to Soompi, JT Corea Entertainment an agency of 5tion has said that immediately after they were met with an accident they were all sent to a nearby hospital and are being examined to state the level of injuries incurred to them.

Since the health of all members is a top priority, the agency is trying to coordinate the Osaka Concert. Fans of the group are worried when they heard the news of the veteran group and their manager met with a car accident. We hope speedy recovery of the 5tion group members and the manager.
