One beautiful year has passed for popular girl group I.O.I, and recently on Jan. 18, they released their last single titled "Downpour". The single was produced by SEVENTEEN's Woozi.

As reported by Soompi, YMC Entertainment as I.O.I's agency has hinted about one last comeback from the girls. They even said that they received a special song from B1A4's leader, Jinyoung, whom had worked together with I.O.I back in their 'Produce 101' days.

When asked why did they bring up B1A4's Jinyoung as a songwriter for I.O.I's last single but used SEVENTEEN's Woozi song instead, YMC Entertainment explained diplomatically. One of the sources said, "They finished recording three songs. One of the songs was 'Downpour', and the other was composed by Jinyoung. The girls had to choose only one song out of three to be their title track, in the end 'Downpour' won."

According to Nate, some fans voiced out disappointment for YMC Entertainment for media-playing using Jinyoung's name. Some fans had totally expected Jinyoung to write the title track. Meanwhile others were glad to have heard 'Downpour', because the lyric was so sad but beautiful at the same time.

On that matter, YMC Entertainment responded, "It was a tough decision for the girls to pick one song as the title track. They had tough discussion even until the day of the release. Finally they had a vote and picked 'Downpour' as the title track." The agency also stated that I.O.I members are not going to make appearances on TV during their final goodbye. But fans can rest assured that they can enjoy the three songs on I.O.I's last concert before disbandment.

Last year, 'Produce 101' was taking the K-pop industry in a storm. Hailing as a survival show for 101 trainees from various entertainment agencies, 'Produce 101' was loved by Korean citizens of all age, resulting in their winners tremendous popularity. In episode 8, B1A4's Jinyoung wrote a girlish pop song 'In the Same Place' as one of the concept evaluations for the trainees to choose. The song received a massive welcome that Jinyoung holds a special place among future I.O.I's fans.
