Several K-pop idols from foreign lands are gaining popularity in their homelands. One of them is BLACKPINK's Lisa who just gained a top star status in Thailand.

According to All Kpop, Lisa's popularity in Thailand was observed when she went home to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Although she's just new in the K-pop industry, she received a very warm welcome from her fans. Unlike other foreign celebrities, Lisa made time to engage in small talks with her fans who waited for her return in one of the wonders of Southeast Asia.

Because of this kind gesture as her way of showing some fan service, Lisa gained a new household name in Thailand as the "Thai Princess", according to Koreaboo. It can be recalled that 2PM's Nichkhun garnered the counterpart of Lisa's name, "Thai Prince", after receiving too much love from his boy group and his appearances in several variety shows. He also became the tourism ambassador of Thailand and some fans are already speculating that Lisa might have the same fate sooner or later.

Moreover, Lisa also gained too much attention among netizens after she strut some high-end airport fashion. Fans noted how classy Lisa is and how her outfit highlighted her height, figure, and beauty which spells the beauty of a Thai.

Lisa's trip to Thailand for the Lunar New Year is remarkable as she rarely had the chance to visit her homeland after she entered YG Entertainment as a trainee way back in 2011 where she moved to Seoul. As soon as Thais found out that there's a Thai trainee in the said K-pop powerhouse, Lisa's fan base continued to grow up until these days.
