SISTAR Currently Working On A New Album: 'Summer Queens' To Make A Comeback in June!

SISTAR is confirmed to have their comeback this summer! The girl group behind the 2011 hit song "Ma Boy" is currently preparing for a full album after almost a year of hiatus.

As reported by Soompi, Starship Entertainment confirmed on May 3 that their girl group SISTAR is currently gearing up for a new album. The album is expected to be released in June.

SISTAR members have been focusing on their individual activities and promotions since they released "I Like That" in June of 2016. The track is included in their fourth extended play (EP) of the same title.

SISTAR releasing a new album in summer would make sense as the girl group is dubbed as the "summer queens". Over the years, SISTAR has released several hit songs like "Touch My Body" and "I Swear" which were both released in the summer season.

Once again, SISTAR will be working again with Black Eyed Pilseung for this album. Together with Choi Kyu Sung (T-ara's "Do You Know Me?"), the Black Eyed Pilseung team produced SISTAR's 2016 hit songs "I Like That" and "Touch My Body".

Aside from SISTAR, Black Eyed Pilseung also worked with TWICE's debut song "Like OOH-AHH" and as well as "Cheer Up". Producer Rado who also worked on the songs together with the Black Eyed Pilseung team.

With regards to their solo activities, SISTAR's vocal's Hyolyn went solo for a while and even released her first album "It's Me" in November of 2016. As reported by Koogle TV, Hyolyn even performed at the K-pop showcase during the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas in March.

SISTAR's Soyou gained quite the popularity as she performed OSTs for TV dramas like the hit 2016 drama "Love in The Moonlight". Soyou also sang the OST for "Goblin".

On the other hand, SISTAR's Dasom has been appearing on TV. She is currently in the SBS TV drama "Sister is Alive" and plays as Yang Dal Hee.
