Kim Hyun Joong made a surprising comeback after he's discharged from the military, not with his return to the small screen or a new track, but with a DUI case. Recently, the actor opened up about his current condition after getting caught driving under alcohol influence.

"Boys Over Flowers" actor involved in DUI case two weeks after he was released from the military. Controversy about him arises once again, especially since he involved in a domestic violence case two years ago. Yet, the controversies didn't stop his 4,000 fans to gather at a fan meeting. According to Korea Boo, Kim Hyun Joong held a fan meeting particularly to open up about his past controversies as well as apologize to fans for his wrongdoings over the years.

The former SS501 couldn't help to look nervous as he delivered his opening remarks. Kim Hyun Joong expressed his regret for the things he's done and said if he hadn't made the event today, he may not be able to see his fans for a long time. Allkpop reported Kim Hyun Joong hasn't made any plans yet to hold promotional activities in Seoul, but he does have a plan to go on Japan tour this June.

Back on March 26, Kim Hyun Joong was caught driving under influence. The CCTV footage showed he was asleep at a red light after drinking one too many liquors, resulted in his blood-alcohol level hit way past the legal limit. As a consequence, the actor's driving license has been suspended and he was charged with a fine of 2 million KRW or 1,7774 USD.
