"The Girl Who Sees Smells" actress Shin Se Kyung has renewed her contract with Namoo Actors even after 15 years with the agency. The happy news was announced by the agency which has been handling the actress' career since she was in elementary school.

According to a statement to Soompi, Namoo Agency which has also been handling the careers of Lee Joon Gi and Kim So Yeon, Shin Se Kyung and the agency have maintained a good working relationship through the years so it was not surprising that the actress re-signed with them. The agency promised to continue advancing Shin Se Kyung's career and choose projects that will highlight her strengths and star quality.

"We decided to renew our contract, not only because of the trust we have built over the years but also as a result of discussions we had about the future direction of her career, " Namoo Agency said about Shin Se Kyung. The agency also praised the actress for her wonderful personality and natural acting talent during their decade and a half working together.

Shin Se Kyung has recently been cast as the lead for the upcoming tvN fantasy drama "Bride of the Water God", a series adapted from a manhwa about a village in need of water who will sacrifice one of their own to the water god. "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" star Nam Joo Hyuk has been cast as Ha Baek the water god and Shin Se Kyung will take on the role of So-A who will become the water god's bride.

It has earlier been reported that the series will be a contemporary take on the manhwa but it remains to be seen how mythical characters like dieties will figure in a modern world. An All Kpop report confirmed that production for "Bride of the Water God" began as early as March 22 with the series set for release this July to replace "Circle" in its timeslot.
