G-Dragon Is Now Also The Name Of A Forest In Jeju Island

K-Pop fans are one of the most loyal human beings on the planet. They're literally willing to do anything for their idols, including dedicating an entire forest under the name of their idol.

G-Dragon Forest, or Kwon Ji Young Forest No. 1, has officially become another tourist attraction in Jeju Island as per May 14, Allkpop reported. G-Dragon Forest consists of approximately 50 citrus trees that have been planted around the Citrus Museum in Seogwipo.

The project of establishing the G-Dragon Forest was coordinated by G-Dragon's official fanbase Always-GD and Tree Planet, as per Straits Times. The two organizations began their project in August 2016 in order to celebrate G-Dragon's upcoming 29th birthday on August 18.

It also marks the first celebrity whose name is endorsed as a forest. The harvest of G-Dragon Forest will be donated for a good cause like charity and social events.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon is scheduled for his world tour within the next few months. The leader of BIGBANG will kick off the tour with a concert at Seoul World Cup Stadium on June 10, followed by his next stop to 19 cities worldwide, including New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Singapore, Toronto, Sydney, and Auckland.

Previously, G-Dragon's world tour ad was on a giant billboard in New York Times Square. YG Entertainment intentionally put the ad in the heart of New York City with the music video highlights of BLACKPINK and WINNER. According to the label, G-Dragon's ad in New York Times Square, especially the videos, received heated responses from travelers around the world who happened to visit New York.

G-Dragon's world tour, The Act III MOTTE starting in June is described as the showcase of loneliness and anguish behind the glamorous life of his massive success, as written on YG Entertainment's website. The tour will also mark his second solo tour following the One of A Kind tour in 2013.
