Super Junior’s Kyuhyun is Set to Grace This Year’s Seoul Jazz Festival

Even before his actual military discharge on May 7, Super Junior's Kyuhyun is already making the rounds online with upcoming projects lined up for him -- one of which is his anticipated stint at this year's Seoul Jazz Festival.

The singer-actor-TV host is set to perform on Day 1 of the said event, which will happen on May 25 and 26 at the Olympic Park. He will be joining the wide-ranging roster of guests including Cuban singer-dancer Omara Portuondo, British electronic collective Clean Bandit, and American pop singer-songwriter Lauv.

Other Korean acts who will grace the two-day revelry are DEAN, LEEHI, Crush, Epik High, and VIXX's Ravi among others.

First held in 2007, Seoul Jazz Festival is set to celebrate its 13th anniversary this year. Though primarily focused on jazz music, artists from other genres have also performed at the even to give spectators a one-of-a-kind musical showcase.

Prior to his festival stint, Kyuhyun will also hold a fan meeting after his discharge. The show, titled "Meeting Again Today," is happening on May 19.

As a sought-after variety show host, the 31-year-old K-pop star has also been receiving numerous calls from different programs. According to previous speculations, his first broadcast appearance will be on the newest season of "Kang's Kitchen," which is part of tvN's "New Journey to the West - A Supplement."

Last month, reports have also surfaced that he might also join the cable network's "Salty Tour" as a fixed cast. According to Label SJ, a subunit of SM Entertainment handling Super Junior's activities, "Kyuhyun has received a casting offer for 'Salty Tour,;' he is currently in the midst of discussing the said offer."

In related news, the agency also noted that Kyuhyun has also "received an offer to return as the MC of MBC's 'Radio Star.'"

Kyuhyun officially made his debut in 2006 as a member of the K-pop collective Super Junior. He also became part of the boy band's first subgroup, Super Junior KRY alongside vocalists Yesung and Ryeowook. He was also part of the Chinese subgroup Super Junior M.

Apart from singing, he has also dabbled into acting both in television and in the theater.
