On June 5, a report from OSEN states that the two boys are scheduled to have a comeback as EXO's new unit group and first duo in July. It is not the first time that Chanyeol and Sehun teamed up as they already did it before, launching a collaboration single "We Young" on September 14, 2018, as the third release of SM Entertainment's spin-off project STATION X 0.

Sources say that the duo has just finished filming for their music video and that they are already in the final phases of preparing their album. According to Newsen, Chanyeol and Sehun took a flight to Los Angeles, USA to film the music video. Both members are claimed to be giving their best for the new tracks, contributing a lot of ideas to see to it that everything goes well.

Then recently, SM Entertainment, Chanyeol and Sehun's agency, affirmed the news that EXO's Chanyeol and Sehun will be making their official unit group debut this coming July.

In response to the reports, someone from SM Entertainment stated that the two members are currently getting prepared for their first unit album, having the objective of releasing it in July, so fans should anticipate it.

EXO's first official sub-unit is Exo-CBX, which consists of Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin. It was formed in 2016 by SM Entertainment. On October 32, 2016, their debut extended play "Hey Mama!" was launched.

Exo-CBX, so far, has three extended plays: "Hey Mama!," "Girls," and "Blooming Days." They have five singles and two promotional singles. The unit's latest digital single is "Paper Cuts," which was released on April 10, 2019. It is a Japanese ballad song that goes well with the spring.

Meanwhile, EXO will be returning this summer with its fifth solo concert called "EXO Planet #5 - EXplOration in Seoul, South Korea. It will be held at the KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, from July 19 to 22 and from July 26-28, for a total of six shows. Fans will witness extreme performances of tracks from EXO's fifth full album "Don't Mess Up My Tempo," their repackaged album "Love Shot," and more.

Sad to say, only six members will be performing on stage. EXO members Xiumin and D.O will not be able to appear in the event as Xiumin has enlisted in the military on May 7 while D.O plans to be an active duty soldier on July 1. They are the first two EXO members to join the military.
