GOT7, NCT 127, MONSTA X, MAMAMOO, MOMOLAND, and More Earn Official Platinum Certifications

Gaon Chart has revealed the new K-Pop idol groups that are officially certified platinum!

On July 11, Gaon Chart certified GOT7's most recent mini album "Spinning Top: Between Security & Insecurity," NCT 127's latest mini-album "We Are Superhuman," and MONSTA X's third studio album "Take 2: We Are Here" had all attained official platinum certifications after having a total of more than 250,000 copies each.

In the meantime, MAMAMOO's "Starry Night," MOMOLAND's "BBoom BBoom," Chungha's "Roller Coaster," and MeloMance's "You" were certified platinum in the download category, having been able to exceed 2.5 million downloads each.

Last but not least, in the streaming category, two artists were awarded. MC the Max's "After You've Gone" received an official platinum certification after arriving at 100 million streams, while Paul Kim's "Every Day, Every Moment," earned a double platinum certification after overpassing 200 million streams.

The previous K-pop idols who were certified platinum in the album category for 2019 are TWICE with "Yes or Yes" and "Fancy You," BLACKPINK with "Kill This Love" and "Square Up," and SEVENTEEN with their sixth mini-album "You Made My Dawn." While EXO's "Don't Mess Up My Tempo" acquired a million certification and the group's other album "Love Shot" got a double platinum certification, BTS's "Map of the Soul: Persona" attained a triple million certification.

Meanwhile, in the download category, the past artists that received platinum certifications are SHAUN with "Way Back Home," BLACKPINK with "DDU-DU DDU-DU," Adult Pubescent with "Travel," Polek with "Every day, Every Moment," and Roy Kim's "You Can Break Up Then."

Then in the streaming category, the preceding idols certified platinum are BLACKPINK's Jennie with "Solo," Vibe with "I Wanna Take Autumn," Polek with "Meet You," IU with "Pager," Lim Chang-Jung with "I Never Loved You One Day," TWICE with "Dance The Night Away," BTS with "Fake Love," Ben with "In Love," and Rocco, Brighton with "Do Not Give It."

As for this week's ranking, in the album category, GFRIEND's seventh mini-album "Fever Season" is on the top spot; in the download category, Eun Jiwon's "I'm On Fire" featuring Blue.D comes first place; and in the streaming category, Jang Hye Jin and Yoon Min Soo's "Drunk On Love" grabbed the number one position.
