Mnet's show Queendom may be a competition on who should reign as the royalty, but it also brings every competing group to become pals with one another. As a matter of fact, the contenders have been spotted hanging out together.

The six ladies met with Park Bom in her agency's building, D-NATION, and they were warmly welcomed by the veteran star. Park Bom herself set up the decorations to make sure that the girls would feel at ease and to break down walls. But of course, (G)I-DLE didn't let the rendezvous take place without their special gift to the singer: a bouquet of flowers and Park Bom's favorite food, corn!

Many are aware that the former 2NE1 member loves corn so much, in spite of how much her personal trainer discouraged her in 2NE1TV. Even her fellow member Sandara Park trended on the web previously during Park Bom's birthday as the former gifted her a corn-shaped cake.

In an interview, (G)I-DLE's leader Soyeon shared she was in raptures upon meeting and interacting with the veteran singer.

"It was so fascinating that we were able to be with Park Bom sunbaenim in one place like this," Soyeon said.

In the September episode Queendom, the second battle commenced with the ladies' respective performance covers. (G)I-DLE won in the first battle, which provided them the chance to make a performance sequence. They chose MAMAMOO to perform first, whilst AOA comes third. Soyeon chose her group as the fifth to deliver. AOA's Seolhyun also shared they wanted to avoid being the second performers.

The fourth performers were Oh My Girl and Lovelyz were the sixth. (G)I-DLE's Minnie then switched Park Bom and AOA, making the latter become the second performers while the former 2NE1 member was the third.

MAMAMOO, during their preparations for their upcoming performance, listened to AOA's songs. While they are a vocal group, they were surprised to learn that AOA's tracks contain many high notes. Solar then explained, 

MAMAMOO prepared for their performance by listening to AOA's songs, and they were surprised by the very high notes. The members unanimously chose "Good Luck," and Solar said, "Their songs had many high notes and were hard to sing, but we chose 'Good Luck' because it's a good song and it seemed like it would be a good fit for us."

AOA, on the flip side, performed MAMAMOO's songs, and they were truly different from their image and style. Nonetheless, they unanimously took liking at the group's Egotistic, as well as its live performances. Then, Park Bom covered (G)I-DLE's Hann. She said, "I hope it has hip hop vibes. Like us 2NE1. I have to get No. 1." The veteran idol also brought someone on stage and described her.

"She's the best at competitions. I think she's going to tear up the stage," Park Bom said.
