MAMAOO's Whee In secures Spot on World Digital Song Charts for the First Time

According to reports, the singer's solo track GoodBye clinched the 24th spot on the worldwide list for this week. Further, the ballad song reportedly became the highest place for brand new entries in this week's bulletin.

This feat marked Whee In as the second MAMAMOO member to reach such an achievement next to Hwasa as the latter entered the chart in February this year. She was specifically no. 3 with her sexy yet upbeat track Twit.

MAMAMOO themselves, as a group, have charted on the World Digital Song Sales previously. Other solo female singers who achieved the feat include a fellow member Lee Sora with her track Song Request featuring Suga from BTS, Sandara Park and Park Bom's collaboration Spring, and Somi's Birthday.

Just this month, Whee In made a solo return with her album soar, with GoodBye as the title song. The track was produced by Jung Key. In the official music video, a plot twist occurred as the female character was initially seen lamenting over lost love and giving an evocative heartbroken mood.

Inside a house, she clad herself in black, drank wine, cooked pasta, and created a mess, until a couple entered the area who were perplexed to come across such chaos. She hid upstairs and left the house without being seen. In the latter part of the video, it was revealed that she was actually madly in love with another woman who was already in a committed relationship with a man. This was because the other woman picked up a picture frame of her and her beau and saw that the image of her partner had pen marks on.

Meanwhile, MAMAMOO is part of the forthcoming RAMF (Rainbows in Asia Music Festival): The 2019 K-POP Super Concert in the Philippines, which will occur on September 21 at none other than the biggest concert venue in the country, the Philippine Arena, located in Bulacan. They will be flaunting their impressive vocals and dancing skills, alongside the veteran idol Park Bom and groups, such as WINNER, Oh My Girl, AB6IX, Filipino K-pop singer Kriesha Chu, as well as Z-Boys and Z-Girls that both have Filipino members.

The assigned emcees are Ryan Bang and Sandara Park. Also, tickets, which began selling since September 3rd, are available to be purchased online and Ticketworld outlets nationwide.
