Punch Drops Animated MV for New Single "Sometimes"

Female idol Punch has returned with another track showing her remarkable singing.

The song talks about a woman who still thinks about her past love and seems not to get over the man. The lyrics of the track exposes how the woman struggles in moving on and always waits for the man to come back.

The title "Sometimes" refers to how the woman is having troubles falling asleep whenever she remembers the man from time to time. And how she would entertain herself with a drink, hoping she forgets about him.

"Sometimes" is Punch's third release this year, 2019, following her first extended play called "Dream of You" and her single "Love Me," which were released on January 16 and June 30, respectively.

"Dream of You" consists of five songs titled "Heart," the title track, "Like a Snowflake," "Love is You," "Kiss Me," and "End of the Night." Meanwhile, in the single "Love Me," Punch sings about lonesomeness and her desire to love, which is accompanied by a vintage Latin sound completed by melodious guitar.

Bae Jin Young, better known as Punch is a singer and rapper under Naym Naym Entertainment. She debuted in 2014 with the collaboration single titled "Sick" with The One. Though she debuted in 2014, Punch had only launched her first solo single in 2017, titled "When Night Is Falling."

Punch is dubbed as the "Queen of Korean drama OST" as she has been the one behind most of the famous original soundtracks of numerous shows in South Korea. The first OST she sang is titled "Sleepless Night" for the 2014 drama "It's Okay, That's Love," alongside famous male idol Crush.

Some of her prominent OST works are "First Love" featuring Tiger JK for the drama "Pinocchio," "Blow Away" featuring Baechigi for high-school program "Who Are You," "Everytime" featuring EXO's Chen for "Descendants of the Sun," and "Stay With Me" featuring EXO's Chanyeol for "Goblin." With all these pieces, Punch received the "Asia Model Festival Awards" under the 'Asia OST Popularity' category in 2017.

Apart from doing OST projects, Punch has also been featured and collaborated with many Korean solo artists, some of which are "Drink with Me Now" with Kim Bo Kyung and "How Are You" with Yoon Mi Rae.
