The 3rd contests will mix up each group members and newly divide into vocal and performance units to stage. Two people form a unit, and the points earned in the competition are counted in each member's group.

The participants to Vocal units are (G) I-dle's Minnie, OH MY GIRL's Hyojung, Lovelyz's Kei, Mamamoo's Hwasa, AOA's Hyejeong, and Park Bom. They talked about their musical tastes to choose their respective duet partners.

Hyojung said, "My dream was to be a ballad singer because I love ballad."

"I listen to various genres of music, but I don't listen to ballads very well," said Hwasa. She added, "I want a song that is calm but still makes me focus on my vocal."

Park Bom said, "I like pop, but I also like ballads." She also said she wanted to sing "The Scarecrow," which was about to be her song but went to Lee Hi because of her group team debut. 

Minnie said she wanted to sing "We don't talk anymore" by Charlie Ruth and Selena Gomez. Kei said, "I only sang pretty and clean songs before. I want to try something different." 

Hyejung made everyone laugh by saying, "I don't listen to music very well." But in the pre-interview, she showed her real heart saying that she loved songs that have distinctive tones, "How to harmonize is very important."

After sharing, they chose their duet partners. The order was set by rock-paper-scissors, and they went to the room of person they wanted to sing together. Hyojung said, "I will learn a lot with whoever I will work with" and laughed. 

Hyejeong, Park Bom, and Minnie, all wanted to work with Hwasa. Park Bom gave up when seeing many came to Hwasa, but Minnie stayed until the end. Hwasa said, "it was very thankful, but also it was awkward. I didn't know what to say to no without hurting their heart." Hwasa chose Minnie between Hyejung and Minnie. "I will do with someone got my telepathy." 

But after that, Kei also came to Hwasa. She actively approached to Hwasa even by giving Kimgbob. She also tried to sing together with Hwasa spontaneously. Eventually, Hwasa chose Kei, "I am so good with Minnie, but Kei is so passionate, so I chose her."

The finalized vocal units were Hwasa and Kei, Par Bom and Hyojung, and Hyejung and Minnie.
