"Feel Special" is a song about JYP's chief producer Park Jin-young, who is in charge of songwriting and composing for the group TWICE.  And he revealed that he wrote the lyrics after talking with the members of the group. Mina's solo verse, in particular, comes across as being immensely personal as the 22-year-old recently publicly revealed her struggle with anxiety, which has resulted in her reduced participation in TWICE's activities, though she is featured on the album. 

"I hope this message of 'Feel Special' will be conveyed to our fans well," he said at the showcase on the day of his comeback. "I want to show that he has grown a little bit every time he makes a comeback," expressing his passion for the development and meaning of his activities.

As TWICE wishes, the song is receiving positive reviews for touching the hearts of the risers.
