Former IZ*ONE member Lee Chae Yeon has officially joined DOD Entertainment through an exclusive contract agreement announced on Friday.
The idol's move to DOD (Dream Or Die) represents a significant new chapter following her departure from WM Entertainment earlier this year. The entertainment agency confirmed the signing and pledged full support for the 25-year-old performer to showcase her diverse talents across various entertainment sectors.
"We have signed an exclusive contract with Lee Chae-yeon, who possesses diverse charms. We will spare no support so that Lee Chae-yeon can fully demonstrate her outstanding abilities and continue her unrivaled activities," the agency said in a statement, as first reported on Naver.
The agency released three new profile images to celebrate the new partnership.
Lee Chae Yeon's journey in the entertainment industry showcases her remarkable growth as a performer. She first captured widespread attention in 2018 as a member of IZ*ONE, the temporary girl group formed through Mnet's "Produce 48" competition. Her exceptional dancing abilities and commanding stage presence made her a standout member during the group's active years, earning her devoted fan support globally.
IZ*ONE's journey came to an end in April 2021 after the temporary project group concluded its contractual period with no extension. The group's disbandment prompted members to pursue diverse career paths, with some establishing successful solo careers while others joined new groups or shifted focus toward acting and entertainment ventures.
Since launching her solo career in 2022, Lee Chae Yeon has proven herself as a formidable independent artist. Her releases, including "HUSH RUSH" and "KNOCK," demonstrated her artistic range and earned critical recognition within the K-pop industry.
Beyond music, she has appeared on television variety shows and acting projects, including "Fresh Romance," "Let's Dance," and "Looped in Love and Death" this year. She has also had minor appearances, including in "Outsides Love Prohibition" in 2021, "Bread, Love and Dreams" in 2010, and "Kyung Sook's Father" in 2009, according to MyDramaList.
DOD manages established artists, including BTOB members Seo Eunkwang, Lee Minhyuk, Im Hyunsik, and Penie,l through its BTOB Company subsidiary. Additionally, DOD operates B Factory, which handles intellectual property commerce, and Set The Stage, which manages live entertainment events.
