Kang Daniel Law Representative reiterated legal action against malicious comments and other illegal activities that are given toward Lawyer Yeom Yongpyo, Kang Daniel's legal representative, said in an official statement on the 16th of December,

"We applied to the Seoul Central District Court to demand the closure of the so-called "Produce 101 Season 2 Gallery" (after this referred to as the "PD2" gallery) on the Internet portal site." 

He also then stated that millions of posts are now publicly posted at the "PD2" gallery and many of which include postings of false information that slander Kang Daniel and are close to defamation that seriously undermines his social assessment. 

In this case, those people behind these portal sites, if found guilty and with the right amount of evidence provided, they can be punishable severely by the law.

"In the Produce 101 Season 2 gallery, tens of thousands of illegal posts are posted daily, prompting Kang Daniel to declare an end to his entertainment career. "

This matter is not only valid and applicable to Kang Daniel, but other celebrities and personalities which participated the produce shows as well were being attacked, suffering from illegal and malicious comments, without any basis and is only based from rumors who wants to destroy these names, 

Kang Daniel's agency KONNECT Entertainment has also released an official statement with this issue. As of early September, they have already filed a complaint with the Seoul Gangnam Police Station and Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on charges against Article 311 by selecting frequent and malicious postings online and also the data sent from their e-mail. With this information, they filed a second complaint with the Seoul District Public Prosecutor's Office on the 16th this month.

"We expected these postings to be a part of our interest in Kang Daniel, and we voluntarily tried to refrain from illegal activities, but there was no other way, so we ended up appealing to legal means."

In this case, the case will be transferred to each jurisdiction in the same order as the first case as it is close to its final step, and they will further respond strongly without any absolute agreement or prior cause. 

"We will continue to take to demand the closure of the Internet bulletin board, including the deletion of malicious postings for purposes of slanderous purposes that go against the bulletin board's theme, suspension of postings, and blocking of access," said lawyer Yeom Yongpyo.

Lastly, KONNECT Entertainment would like to express their sincere gratitude to the fans for e-mails every day as support to protect their artists. In the first three months since the first complaint was submitted, they have received numerous reports. 

They will continue to follow up on the public regularly by selecting the most frequently malicious and habitual postings aimed at slandering the artist and the fans.

The agency has also finalized to repay the fan's efforts, and they will not stop taking legal action as they give thanks to everyone who continuously provides love and support for Kang Daniel as they proceed to protect people's rights and interests.
