Korean artist IU will be releasing her first official soundtrack for "Crash Landing on You" after five years!

According to the drama's officials, "It was confirmed that IU has participated in the "Crash Landing On You" OST, however, the release date is still undecided."

It was also reported that IU was close to the author or screenwriter of the drama, Park Ji Eun, as well as to the KBS 2TV producers, which made her agree to participate in the OST singing. 

This is going to become IU's first Official soundtrack to be released in the public if ever after five long years. Her last official soundtrack that was released was for her drama "The Producers," co-starring Kim Soo Hyun, Gong Hyo Jin and Cha Tae Hyun last 2015. The song was titled, "Heart" and it was released to the public on May 18, 2015. The song featured IU's sweet and charming voice, which speaks the inner voice of her heart. 

Park Ji Eun, the screenwriter of the drama, was the same writer of "The Producers" as well. 

Last year, 2019, the singer-actress IU became the lead for one of the highest rating drama of all times, "Hotel Del Luna" along with Yoo Jin Goo, and she also sang a soundtrack for the drama called "Our Happy Ending," however it was not official, and it was not released to the public, as it was exclusive only for the fans of the drama, who supported her and the drama throughout the broadcasting. 

Meanwhile, the drama "Crash Landing of You" focused on the story of the secret love story of a conglomerate heir, Yoon Se Ri, played by Son Ye Jin, who was fled to North Korea after encountering a tornado that caused her paragliding accident. She then met a special officer named Lee Jung Hyuk, played by Hyun Bin, who does his best to hides and protect her. The drama was aired every Saturday and Sunday at 9 p.m. KST.

On the other hand, Lee Ji Eun or also known as IU, recently made her own label together with her manager, who has been with her for 12 years. IU already signed for her new label, which is a subsidiary of her recent label KakaoM. 

For the new label that is now being managed by her manager, IU was listed as the label's first artist and is expected that she will be going to be busy for this year. 

2019 has been a successful year for the actress and singer, after successfully wrapping up her drama, as well as her anniversary tour, "Love Poem." She also charted as the No. 1 for her album titled the same as the concert and brought bops with her new song "Blueming." She also released a song titled "Love, Poem," who was said to be dedicated to her best friend, who was not here physically anymore, Kim Jonghyun and Choi Sulli. 

2020 is a highly anticipated year for actress IU, who is reported to be starring with Par Seo Joon for a movie.
