Girl's Day's Hyeri Expresses Anger at "Nth Room" Suspects + Signs Petition to Reveal Their Identity
Girl's Day member Hyeri is just one of many Korean celebrities who have expressed their anger at the controversial "Nth Room" scandal perpetrators who used the social application Telegram to operate their pornographic activities and even abducted 30 minor girls, who are believed to be tortured and raped.
The perpetrators have allegedly lured minor girls with offering them part-time job offers and gift certificates, they soon blackmailed the victims forcing them to create and send pornographic films of themselves.
These videos of pornographic activities of the minors were sent through different chat rooms in exchange for cryptocurrency fee. It was on March 20 when South Korea's Cyber Safety Department of Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency arrested one main suspect of the crime that goes by the name "Cho" and his nickname "Doctor." His thirteen accomplices were also arrested, and four of them are behind the bars already.
Citizens and Korean celebrities signed a petition that aims to reveal the faces and names of the suspects involved in this illicit act. On March 22, authorities announced that they will be revealing the identity of the suspects to the public on March 24, Tuesday.
Hyeri expressed her anger on this issue by uploading photos of the signed petition on her Instagram story, showing people that she supports this plea with a note saying, "I am completely furious and terrified at the same time. I hope that they will be punished severely for the crime that they committed."
Ha Yeon Soo also shared a few sentiments about this case and posted her thoughts on her personal Instagram account and wrote, "I did not experience but this is not something to just look at, so I was in the state of feeling the rage and the fear of this 'Nth Room',' Child rape and abuse are extremely bad enough so the suspects deserve to receive punishment and judgment for the crime they have committed."
She soon deleted this post and uploaded a photo of the petition via Change.org on her Instagram Stories.

Son Soo Hyun also shared her thoughts on this and wrote, "If such grievous sin would end up with just a few years in jail, I won't hold myself back. Disclose their personal information along with their faces! We should catch all the people behind this crime and shame them to the world so that they would shut themselves to society. I can't resist but to say horrible things!"
