Fans are swarmed with curiosity after YG Entertainment teased that BLACKPINK will be featuring an artist, who remains kept under wraps, in their upcoming single.

BLACKPINK took the internet by storm as fans will be fed again with new music in August. On July 23, the girls' label shared a teaser photo, which reveals that a new track is up next month with a mystery featured artist. Shortly after, theories came pouring in on various online platforms, and two possible artists have been speculated to collaborate with the girl group.

Is it Ariana Grande?

First, rumor has it that the international pop star Ariana Grande is the mystery featured artist who will be collaborating with BLACKPINK for the upcoming new single, set to be released next month. Eagle-eyed fans have recalled that Ariana said on Twitter a year ago that she would definitely collaborate with the girls as an answer to a random question by a fan.

Other hints came out when Ariana liked Jennie Kim's post of the teaser photo on Instagram. Thus, strong speculations are rising that she is possibly the mystery artist. Adding to that, Producer Tommy Brown, who also liked Jennie's post, once said, "We have some incredible records with both acts." Victoria Money, Ariana's best friend, also hit the "like" button.

But let's all calm down as nothing has been confirmed yet.

Or is it Charlie Puth?

While Ariana Grande is the strongest possible rumored featured artist, another international singer, Charlie Puth, is stirring curiosity that he might be the mystery collaborator to be featured in BLACKPINK's new song. Fans heard the male artist saying on his live, "BLACKPINK in your area." This made some BLINKs think that there is a strong chance he might be the one.

However, plenty of fans are not considering the idea. They believe that Charlie Puth will just use the girls for clout like what BTS's ARMYs alleged in the past. Needless to say, Charlie Puth answered this accusation and said on his posts that he never used BTS for such reasons.

This mystery featured artist slated to collaborate with the Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé is yet to be known. Nevertheless, fans are anticipating another success of BLACKPINK this August, following the stellar feats of their pre-release single, "How You Like That," in June.
