ONF is Gearing Up for Their Highly-Anticipated Return With New Mini-Album "SPIN-OFF" + Online Fan Meeting
ONF will be kicking off this summer with their new mini-album! The K-pop idol group, who is known to fans as the "great songs restaurant" will return in the music scene with their best title song of all time.
On August 5, WM Entertainment, the agency of ONF, released the highlight medley clip of ONF's fifth mini-album "SPIN-OFF" on its official SNS at midnight KST.
The video consists of details and the highlight parts of all seven tracks, including the title track "Sukhumvit Swimming," "Belle Epoque," "Gepetto," and "Good Good."
It also features undisclosed images of ONF members, showing the unique identity of each member and drawing attention from fans around the world.
"Sukhumvit Swimming" was produced with Hwang Hyun and Yoon Jong-sung of "Monotree," a Korean music production and publishing company, participating in the lyrics writing. It is a compound word of K-pop and reggae, which tells the story of "falling into an unknown space that will connect us together."
It is then expected that ONF will use different genres into their songs, connecting every piece and proving the essence of music regardless of the genre.
Meanwhile, the album "SPIN-OFF" is expected to feature songs that will show different development paths for ONF since their debut in 2017. The songs are designed to blend in with the theme "SPIN-OFF," allowing fans to listen to more diverse music.
ONF is expected to solidify its color through high participation in this album. Moreover, fans' interest has continued to grow with the hope of listening to ONF's high-quality music once again with producer Hwang Hyun of "Monotree" since debut.
"SPIN-OFF" will be available on various music platforms starting on August 10 (KST). And to celebrate their return, an online fan meeting "SPIN-OFF COUNTDOWN" will be held at 00:00 on August 10.AM (KST) through the music platform: mymusictaste.com.
ONF is a six-member group, comprising of Hyojin, J-US, E-Tion, Wyatt, MK, and U. They are originally seven, but Laun left the group in 2019.
ONF (On and Off) have two leaders, Hyojin and J-US, who are leading their two sub-units called: ON Team and OFF Team, respectively.
In 2017, ONF debuted with their lead single, "ON/OFF," the first idol group that was introduced by WM Entertainment after OH MY GIRL in 2015, which is also the second boy group that was launched since B1A4. In August 2018, a year after their debut in Korea. They released a Japanese version of their debut single, marking the start of their career in Japan.
In 2020, they joined MNET's show, "Road to Kingdom," finishing the show in second place, which eventually gained them more fans and providing them with a skyrocketing popularity in domestic and international countries.
