HyunA has gained weight, and ironically, fans are happy for her.
While some K-pop idols who gained weight were body-shamed by netizens, HyunA receives positive feedbacks instead. After the soloist updated her fans with a latest photo showing her weight gain through the idol's official Instagram account on August 11, fans instantly praised her. But, how could this be?

HyunA had been underweight since 2018
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that HyunA was underweight after seeing a photo of her standing on a weighing scale that shows a result of 43.1kg. Of course, the fans calculated her BMI and assumed that the singer was medically underweight for her height, which is 164cm tall. This created huge concern among fans.
Some were worried that it may due to her dating rumor with her current boyfriend, Dawn. However, HyunA calmed fans by saying that there was nothing to worry about.
Earlier this year, HyunA's Diet Controversy sparked again after fans raised their concerns over the singer's health after she shared a photo of her meal. The plate had small portions of brown rice and veggies, and only two pieces of tiny sausages. Although K-pop idols are known for their strict and extreme diets, fans were still concerned that she was going to starve.

Since her controversies had pointed out her poor healthy status, it seems that HyunA had been working on how to keep a balanced diet together with a great lifestyle. On her most recent social media update, the singer showed that she now currently weighs 47.3kg.
