Lovelyz's Mijoo graced the cover of the September issue of Pilates S, a magazine under the concept of "Back to the Fever of Generation X." She boldly revealed her strong yet stylish charm and flaunted her physique.
This pictorial features the passionate atmosphere of Generation X, which dominated in the late 1990s and early 2000s, reinterpreting it as "Newtro" and capturing the brilliantly hot moment 20 years ago in a colorful mood.
Lovelyz's Mijoo showed a variety of changes, including "Rebuanga Mi-Joo" in the outfit matching red-colored Jorger pants with red bandana, "Cute lively Mijoo" with her outfit of vintage warp crop top, and "Women Mijoo" through her fitting check pattern jacket and pants. Whenever the camera shutter was pressed, it gave off enormous energy, and Mijoo was constantly applauded by the staff of the photoshoot.
Asked how she felt when she saw "Sprout Three," which brought about the 90s craze, being loved for its music, Mijoo answered, "I feel like I'm going to run as one of the "jjin" fans who loved singing back then. I think I'm going to be a singer who can be remembered for a long time like Sprout seniors in the future!"
Lovelyz's Mijoo mentioned that she wants to become a model for her juniors through creating a sensation that makes them look back on themselves. In the hearts of the fans, Mijoo said that she wants to remain as a person like Lee Hyo-ri who can perform on stage or entertainment shows.
"As an artist and a beloved artist, I want to stay deep in the hearts of my fans for a long time," she added.
LOVELYZ's upcoming comeback, "Unforgettable"
Regarding Lovelyz's comeback after a year and four months with the upcoming 7th mini album "Unforgettable" on September 1. She said, "It took a while to choose the title song because I was careful. It's only a few days before the album's release date that the members also know what the title song is."
Mijoo hinted that the upcoming single is 180 degrees different from the existing feeling of Lovelyz, therefore, she is honestly nervous and excited about how the fans will embrace it.
"As a small hint, I think we will move beyond the lovely and girlish image of Lovelyz to the scent of mature women," she explained.
The 25-year-old Mijoo is originally from Okcheon County, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea. She debuted as one of the kpop female members of Lovelyz under Woolim Entertainment in November 2014.
