These Are The Only K-Pop Idols Who Ranked 1st on The “Most Beautiful and Handsome Faces” Through The Years
TC Candler and the Independent Critics' "100 Most Beautiful and Handsome Faces" is the most famous annual ranking list around the world. Launched in 1990, the list is not only a popularity ranking but has over 20 independent critics organized by TC Candler, with the aim of searching only 100 artists with aesthetic perfection as one of the criteria.
Previously, TC Candler and the Independent Critics' "100 Most Beautiful and Handsome Faces" were dominated by American, British, and Australian luminaries. But as years go by, tons of Korean celebrities have penetrated the ranking, thanks to the omnipresence of K-pop, K-dramas, and K-movies.
Though Korean actresses, actors, and idols are proving that they are all visually-pleasing by making it to the Top 30, it's only in the later years that Korean stars have made it to the Top 20, then Top 10, before finally reigning as No. 1 - and here they are.
1. After School Nana (2014-2015)
Nana, a member of After School and sub-unit Orange Caramel, is the few K-pop stars who made it into the Top 10. In 2013, Nana ranked No. 2, which is already a really a huge recognition.
However, her goddess-like beauty can't be hidden and deserves only the best, that's why the following years, Nana reigned as "Most Beautiful Face" among 100 artists on the list, not only once, but for two consecutive years!
Nana is a licensed makeup artist, and also became a participant in the Asia Pacific Super Model Contest in 2009.
2. TWICE Tzuyu (2019)
Just right after their debut, TWICE Tzuyu immediately made it into the ranking in 2015 as rank No. 13. It is already a huge achievement, knowing that she's still a rookie but her fairy beauty is already noticed by the crowd.
The Taiwanese K-pop idol then rose to the rankings quickly as the years passed, as her beauty is also blossoming each day, too. In 2016, 2017, and 2018, Tzuyu secured a spot at No. 8, No.3 and No.2, respectively.
Meanwhile, Tzuyu's visuals and influence expanded throughout the globe, and she became the "Most Beautiful Face" in 2019!

3. BTS V (2017)

Due to the overwhelming public demand, TC Candler then decided to create their annual list for "100 Most Handsome Faces" which started in 2013. The 2020's "Most Handsome Man" in another beauty ranking list, is indeed the epitome of ethereal visuals.
The male idol entered the list at no. 60 in 2016, and who would know that V will make a huge leap at No. 1 in 2017? Such a legend!

4. BTS Jungkook (2019)
The golden maknae of BTS with a golden voice has the most treasure-worthy face as well! In 2016, The idol made it into the list at No. 55, while in 2017, he rose at No. 13.
The following year, the world-renown idol leap at rank No. 2, and in 2019, Jungkook reigned as the "Most Handsome Face" among 100 artists!
Amazingly, when V took the crown in 2017, Jungkook was hailed as the Sexiest Man, and when he took the 2019's crown, V then became the Sexiest Man. Co-member goals!
