WJSN Announces Special Untact Live ‘AS WE WISH'

On September 23, Cosmic Girls announced the formation of the new sub-unit WJSN Chocome. They will release their debut single album 'Hmph!' on October 7.

In light of such tough times as the world reels from a pandemic, WJSN has announced an untact live event titled 'AS WE WISH' all set for October 24 at 9:00 p.m. KST, in order to deliver a message of hope and bright energy and cheer fans up, creating better memories during difficult times. The name of the event has been modified from WJSN's album 'As You Wish' released last year.

The official poster released for the event shows the members donned in gorgeous white dresses as they look angelic, innocent and pure. Their elegant form and dreamy aura are sure to captivate the audience. The video released with the poster including part of the music video for 'BUTTERFLY' is increasing expectations of fans even more.

If that isn't exciting enough, a brand new never seen before stage performance is also going to be shown during the live which will certainly display all the varied charms of the members as well as radiate bright youthful energy.

The live show will be available to stream on Olleh TV and Seezn and will certainly draw millions of fans from all over the world.

Cosmic Girls, also known as WJSN, is a South Korean-Chinese girl group formed by Starship Entertainment and Yuehua Entertainment. The group debuted on February 25, 2016 with the extended play 'Would You Like?' and with twelve members: Seola, Xuanyi, Bona, Exy, Soobin, Luda, Dawon, Eunseo, Cheng Xiao, Meiqi, Yeoreum and Dayoung. 

In July 2016, Cosmic Girls added a thirteenth member, Yeonjung, to the group. The group was divided into different sub-units.

On December 10, 2015, the first unit, Wonder Unit, was announced (Cheng Xiao, Bona and Dayoung). On December 17, 2015, the second three-member unit (Xuan Yi, Eunseo and Yeoreum) was introduced: Joy Unit. On December 21, Cosmic Girls' Wonder and Joy Units released a Christmas cover of "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey.

On December 24, the third unit, Sweet Unit, was announced (SeolA, Exy and Soobin). On December 31, the final unit was announced: Natural Unit (Mei Qi, Luda and Dawon).

In August 2016, SeolA, Exy, Soobin, Eunseo, Cheng Xiao, Yeoreum, and Dayoung teamed up with label mate Monsta X to form the unit "Y-Teen." Y-teen was a project unit group that promoted as CF models for KT's phone fare service and would release EPs, music videos, and various entertainment content.

On August 17, Cosmic Girls released their second mini album The Secret with all 13 members. On January 4, 2017, Cosmic Girls released their third mini album From. WJSN. The EP contains six tracks including the title track "I Wish".

Cosmic Girl held their first solo concert, "Would You Like - Happy Moment", from May 19-20 at the Blue Square Samsung Card Hall. A total of 2,000 fans gathered in two days. Cosmic Girls' first full-length album, Happy Moment, was released on June 7, 2017, with a total of ten tracks including the lead single "Happy". The album ranked number 1 on Hanteo's daily and real-time charts after release.  

On February 27, 2018, Cosmic Girls released their fourth mini album Dream Your Dream, which consists of six tracks including the lead single "Dreams Come True". Their comeback showcase was held at the Yes24 Live Hall on the same day as the album's release.

On June 1, 2018, Cosmic Girls and Weki Meki formed a project group called WJMK and released a digital single "Strong". Two Chinese members (Mei Qi and Xuan Yi) participated in the Chinese version of survival show Produce 101 during the first half of 2018. The survival show concluded with Mei Qi ranking 1st and Xuan Yi ranking 2nd, making them both members of the temporary girl group Rocket Girls 101.

By this time WJSN were enjoying immense popularity and had become a household name both in Korea as well as worldwide.

In 2020, Cosmic Girls held their third concert titled WJSN Concert "Obliviate", starting on February 22, 2020 at the Olympic Hall in Seoul, South Korea and finishing on March 22, 2020 at the Toyosu PIT in Tokyo, Japan. Cosmic Girls released their eighth mini album Neverland, including the title track "Butterfly", on June 9, 2020.
