K-Pop Idols Who Had a “Beef” With Their Co-Members + Here’s What Happened
Before debuting in a group, K-pop idols underwent various trainings, hardships, and pressure as hopefuls. Though they are battling with their individual problems, it is truly amazing that they have their co-trainees to lean on. Due to the bond that they formed along that period, they can easily treat each other as a family after debut.
However, you may ask, are members of K-pop groups really treating one another genuinely? Or are they only doing it for business or show? You can't really tell, but the following idols in this list prove that not everyone in a team gets along with each other really well, and their "beef" became known to the public after some unfortunate events.

1. Girls' Generation and former member Jessica
One of the most shocking news on September 29 in 2014, was when Jessica, a former member of Girls' Generation posted a message in her Weibo account, revealing that she was kicked out by SM Entertainment and by her eight co-members. As soon as the post was shared online, several fans particularly, Sones, SNSD's fandom expressed their alarmed hearts, leading to speculations that she might be hacked.
On the same day, SM Entertainment released their stand, confirming Jessica left the group due to conflicting schedules, and they had reached a decision to finish one last album.
However, on the following day, Jessica posted through her Fashion brand BLANC an official statement, saying that she was actually forced to leave the group, as they think she's more focused on her business than the group. According to her, "At a meeting with the other eight members, I was made to choose between my business or Girls' Generation," though she received permission on having her own business.
Nevertheless, it is still a mystery, if what really happened between the co-members and with SME, as Jessica, after leaving the group, confirmed that she lost touch with them.
2. 4Minute and HyunA
HyunA, who is a former 4Minute member, had a "beef" with other 4Minute members as well, according to fans. Based on speculations, HyunA and her former co-members suddenly become distant from one another prior to their disbandment.
The female soloist was accused by fans of being CUBE's favorite, that's why she was able to debut as a soloist, and promote more than the other members. After the disbandment, the other members unfollowed HyunA on Instagram simultaneously and even gathered together without her.
3.T-ARA and Hwayoung
In 2012, fans and netizens were enraged following the alleged bullying of T-ARA to Hwayoung. The group members were heavily criticized and strived really hard to survive from all of the criticisms, threats, and negative feedback they received.
While people are protecting and defending Hwayoung, it was revealed that she actually played the "victim", lied about her leg injury, sent threats to former co-member Areum about scraping her face, disrespected her co-members and their staff, etc. - completely turning the table.
However, despite knowing the truth, T-ARA lost their stellar career due to their damaged image, while Hwayoung continues to talk about the "painful experiences" she had with the group.
4. AOA and Mina
On Mina's personal Instagram account, she revealed that her former co-member Jimin caused her torment and pain for the past 10 years. In her post, she confessed that their leader actually bullied her and the other co-members were bystanders, including Seolhyun (Jimin's best friend.)
Due to Mina's painful experience, she also attempted to take her own life several times. As the controversy rose, Jimin admitted to the accusations, and withdrew from the group after posting an apology letter to Mina.
It also comes to light that Jimin also bullied the other members, through acting mean towards them as well as taking away their stuff (excluding Seolhyun.)
