Announcer Jang Ye Won Selected As MC For Mnet’s New Survival Show "CAPTEEN"

CAP-TEEN is a newly formatted reality survival show to find the next top teenage idol. The show will welcome the contestants' parents and receive the critique of the panel of judges regarding their child's performance. "CAP-TEEN" premieres on November 19 at 9 p.m. KST on Mnet. Announcer Jang Ye Won has been chosen as the MC for the show, and Netizens couldn't be happier with the choice. Jang Ye Won is a South Korean announcer. She was born on July 14, 1990, and made her debut as an announcer in 2013. As a newscaster for SBS, she has covered major global events, including the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. She has also hosted several variety shows, including BTS Variety Chronicles (2019).

As the communication between the judges, teenagers, and parents will be of paramount importance due to the program's nature, the unique charm and friendliness of the announcer Jang Ye Won are expected to shine even more.

Announcer Jang Ye Won said, "The concept of teenagers and parents together came to me as attractive. As the program itself was a new attempt, I thought it was a meaningful opportunity for me, who just took the first step of the challenge." Regarding the impressions after the first recording, she said, "It was a much more dynamic scene than I thought. It would be nice to look forward to the appearance of four judges, teenagers, and parents make together."

Following the judges Seung-Cheol, Jessie, Soyou, and Shownu, MC Jang Ye Won will be the first in Korea to summon parents to a survival reality show. "Capteen," which is raising expectations, will be broadcast for the first time on Mnet on Thursday, November 19, at 9 PM KST.
