Chungha Shares Update About I.O.I While Recording for Eric Nam's Podcast
Chungha unveils what she and her former I.O.I members plan to do, and who among them she stays in touch with the most.
On October 26, the K-Pop artist appeared as a guest for Eric Nam's podcast, 'K-POP DAEBAK. While on the show, Eric asked, "Well so after 'Produce 101', you did I.O.I, how was that? You finally debuted as a group. But you have ten other members, which is probably great but also challenging at times; working and living with ten other girls. What was that process like for you?"
Kim Chungha answered, "I think it was more to learn than more challenging." Eric clarified, "More, you had a lot to learn?" And the female artist agreed by saying, "Yeah, yeah. More like, I had a lot of things to learn. And I just took the challenging parts as learning."
Chungha further stated, "And, I really miss them so much." She then shared an update that even she couldn't believe she was saying. "Like next year is the year that we promised that we would get back together. And I'm praying so, so hard that it would really happen. But I'm not sure because that we can't do ourselves," she said.
Nam commented, "Yeah. I mean, there's so many factors. So many companies, so many schedules to match up. So I'm sure it's difficult." The female idol then responded, "But it's still in our hearts like, yeah. We're still on track to try to get back together and yeah, fingers crossed." Eric stated, "I hope so. I can't believe it's.. time has flown so fast." And Kim agreed.
Eric continued, "I feel like it was just yesterday." At this time both of them kept on laughing, then Chungha mentioned about 'Yang Namja Show.' And Eric said, "Yeah. I feel like it was literally, maybe last year." 'Yang Namja Show' is a South Korean television show in which Eric Nam was one of the main host along with Yang Se Hyung and Jang Do Yeon. It aired last 2017, from February to April.
The host then said, "Hopefully, fans will be able to see something of you guys together sometime." The female singer stated, "Yeah, I'll be praying. Seriously."
While recording the podcast, Nam also asked, "Who do you stay in touch with the most from I.O.I.?" The female artist shared, "I actually saw most of my members recently. The most recent member that I've seen was Yeonjung, from WJSN (Cosmic Girls)."
"When you have down time, what do you do? Who do you see? Who do you hang out with?" Chungha responded, "It's mostly I.O.I members, or DIA's Huihyeon, and BVNDIT's Yiyeon." "And during my down time, I don't have a hobby, I used to not have a hobby but I found myself one," she added. Eric then questioned what that hobby is, and Chungha stated, "Horseback riding."
