The super popular hip-hop survival reality show 'High School Rapper' has announced its return with a fourth season, officially!

On October 28, 2020, Mnet revealed an exciting teaser video for the fourth season of the survival show. According to what Mnet reported to Newsen, "The fourth season of the high school rap survival show 'High School Rapper' will be scheduled for the first half of next year."

Newsen also reported that the show is currently getting ready for auditions and the selection procedure for choosing participants before kicking off the series's official production.

The show's teaser displays the logo for the show in bold green and black-backed with exciting background music that is raising expectations among fans of the show. The show has a reach both in Korea and worldwide, and fans have been waiting eagerly for the 4th season of the show.

Many previous contestants and winners of the show have gone forward to create magnificent careers for themselves and have even proved their mettle on 'Show Me The Money,' which is currently airing. It is not unnatural since this is widely recognized as the "high school" or junior counterpart of 'Unpretty Rapstar' and 'Show Me The Money.' High School Rapper has effectively launched the careers of many aspiring rappers.

Season 1 of High School Rapper aired on Mnet starting February 10, 2017, and was hosted by Jeong Jun-ha and Haha. In March 2017, it was confirmed by Mnet that the show would have a second season. This season included YDG, Swings, Deepflow, Mad Clown, Jessi, Seo Chul-gu & Giriboy. Episode 1 to episode 3 constituted the preliminary rounds of the competition. High school students from six areas participated in the preliminary round. Only ten students survived in each area. There was also a lot of controversy surrounding several participants from the very beginning of the show. There was controversy over personality from the first episode. Jang Yong-jun was at the center of the controversy. Jang Yong-jun got a compliment from mentors for showing extraordinary rap skills, especially Swings, in episode 1.

However, the next day, his improper behavior as a student (prostitution and drinking) was widely broadcast over the media. Also, he is the son of politician Jang Jae-won, he resigned from the program. The participation and appearance of Kim Dong-Hyun and Mark Lee also drew much interest even before "High school Rapper" aired. As they're considered overall entertainers since they are idols and not strictly rappers, people found it interesting to evaluate their rap skills in the same condition as other rappers. Some people expected their ability were overestimated because of popularity. However, the two survived from the preliminary round. Ultimately, Yang Hong-won (Young B) was the winner of the first season of the show.

The second season of 'High School Rapper' aired on Mnet, starting February 23 to April 13, 2018. Haon won, Bae Yeon-seo came in second, and Lee Byung-Jae placed third in the final ranking. Haon is now an incredibly popular rapper signed to AOMG.

The third season of 'High School Rapper' aired on Mnet starting from February 22, 2019. The season gained a lot of attention because of the presenter Nucksal, an extremely successful rapper himself. Lee Young Ji was the winner of this season.

Considering the potential of all the winners and contestants of the show, fans are excited about the fourth season and can't wait for it to air!
