WOODZ's upcoming solo mini-album is his first release after approximately five months, since June 29 when he launched his first mini-album called 'Equal.' Unlike his previous releases, 'Equal' is focused on an array of different genres. It is composed of seven songs, namely 'Lift Up,' 'Accident,' 'NOID,' 'Waikiki,' 'BUCK,' 'Memories,' and 'Love Me Harder,' which is the album's title track.

As a solo artist, Seung Youn has been taking part in writing all of the lyrics of the songs as well as in producing most of his music. Not to mention, Cho was the one who wrote and composed all of the tracks that are included in his first mini-album, along with other lyricists and composers.

In a previous interview, WOODZ stated that he put great effort into making his album, from the music to its visual aspects. He also shared that he titled his mini-album 'EQUAL' to indicate that both Cho Seung Youn and WOODZ are only one as many fans and even himself are confused about his names. He also mentioned during the talk that before he made music that he likes and would satisfy him. But 'EQUAL' is something that will please everyone.

WOODZ was initially a trainee under YG Entertainment, where he honed his dancing and singing skills for one and a half years. The male group made its debut on October 20, 2014, with the single titled 'Falling in Love,' and with Cho Seung Youn as the main rapper of the group.
