WEi Shares Debut Preparations, Songs They Listen to, Hobbies, and More
Rookie boy group WEi who have just made its debut last October 5 recently sat down for an interview with allkpop.
To start the interview, WEi described the band saying, "Our group is composed of six members who are all unique and full of individual charms but can work harmoniously as one. We will always show fans something remarkable."
The interviewer then asked, "All of the members were previous participants on audition programs, and some have even debuted in the past. How did these experiences help you prepare for your debut as the group WEi?"
One of the members answered that they shared tips in terms of the filming and practice strategies, which help them prepare for their debut without a hitch. "Also, our past experiences enable us to be more accurate and detailed in our preparation," a WEi member added.
When asked to name one song that has been on WEi members' playlist, Daehyeon first responded, revealing that he listens to Nell's 'Time Walking on Memory.' He said, "The track matches perfectly with the weather these days and makes my heart feel warm."
Donghan shared, "SSAK3's 'Beach Again.' Even though I didn't live in that ear, listening to the song stirs up my emotions." Then, Junseo revealed, "SEVENTEEN's 'Thanks.' This is a song that I enjoyed listening to in the past. I chose it because I recently began to listen to it again and it brings back memories."
Meanwhile, Yongha, Yohan, and Seokhwa said that they listen to SBGB's 'Card Captor Sakura,' Pentagon's 'Daisy,' and Dawn's 'DAWNDIDIDAWN,' respectively.
With regard to WEi members' hobbies, which they have been enjoying lately. WEi Daehyeon unveiled that he goes shopping, watch videos, meeting friends, and chatting with other people. "I like these particular activities because I can focus on all of these things without having to think too much," he explained.
Donghan also stated that he watches videos, funny ones, and he also likes to watch dramas, movies, and variety shows. Yongha said that he likes to puzzles as matching each piece together is fun, while Junseo shared he does exercise. And as for Yohan, he has not found a hobby yet.
During the interview, WEi members also revealed their favorite food. Junseo, Daehyeon, Yohan, and Donghan said that they love meat, saying that it's just too delicious. Yongha, on the other hand, stated that his favorite food is ramen. Seokhwa then shared that he likes malatang. "After I tried it once, I couldn't stop eating it," he said. Malatang is a Chinese spicy hot pot, which became popular in South Korea last 2019.
WEi made its official debut on October 5 with the mini-album titled 'Identity: First Sight,' which features its title track 'TWILIGHT.' The rookie boy group is under OUI Entertainment and is composed of six members who are already familiar to fans.
Daehyeon and Donghan are previous contestants in 'Produce 101: Season 2.' Donghan is also a former JBJ member. Yongha and Junseo are former 1THE9 members and previous participants in 'Under 19.' Meanwhile, Yohan is a former X1 member and Seokhwa, a former 'YG Treasure Box' member.
