BTS Suga Details the Meaning of His Concept Photo for The Group's Upcoming Album 'BE'
BTS member Suga explained the meaning behind his concept photo for 'BE'.
On November 7 KST, the idol's concept photos were uploaded on the official SNS of Big Hit Entertainment, BTS's agency. The pics were revealed alongside an audio recording of BTS Suga that was released on the official website of the label. In the audio, the artist detailed what those pictures are about.
BTS has been sharing the concept photos of each member and it can be seen that they have different themes. The rooms are said to be decorated according to the members' style. Suga's room is all blue - the walls are painted pastel blue and there's a royal blue velvet couch in the middle of the room with the rapper sitting on it as he sports the same color with the sofa.
Through the accompanying audio recording, BTS Suga shared that blue has a great meaning to him, so that's why he chose it as the overall color of the room. He said that he wanted to display a variety of blue shades so he used light and deep blue to represent the sea.
Another meaningful object that was included in Suga's concept photos is a mirror, which lies under his feet. He said, "A mirror is a very special object. It reflects yourself and reminds you that you exist."
The male idol further stated, "The new album 'BE' (Deluxe Edition) is also like a mirror that will reflect our true selves, so the members will be able to stand out since we all took part in the production."
In other news, Big Hit Entertainment previously announced that BTS Suga had surgery for his shoulder on Nov. 3 to mend his torn shoulder labrum. The artist decided to have such operation as his preparation for his approaching enlistment in the military service as well as for future activities of BTS. As a result of his recent surgery, he will not be taking part in most of BTS's activities, including comeback promotions for the group's new album 'BE.'
Following Big Hit's announcement about Suga's shoulder surgery, the BTS member wrote a message to fans, ARMY, on Weverse, saying that he is sorry and grateful at the same time.
He said, "Thankfully, the surgery went well. My current condition is that I do feel some pain but I am very relieved. Since I perform as part of my job, I tried to avoid the surgery as much as I could and endured rehabilitation and shots."
Suga also revealed that his shoulder injury kept getting worse whenever he performs. Hence, he had the surgery, which he was extremely worried about. He then stated that he feels sorry for his members and ARMY. He concluded his letter saying, "I'll be away for a bit so that I can recover as soon as possible, but I'll be back soon. It won't be that long! Once again, I'm sorry, and thank you, ARMY!"
Meanwhile, BTS is set to launch its new album 'BE' (Deluxe Edition) on November 20 KST.
