ENHYPEN has a brand new reality show for fans, and they have released a special teaser ahead of their debut. The show is called 'ENHYPEN&Hi,' which will further follow the journey of how the winners of I-Land came together to form a whole and united team to make their dreams come true. It will show the group's hard work behind their upcoming debut and take a peek into their daily lives as ordinary people. In the teaser video, the members made up a cute acrostic poem to give hints about their new show's contents and shared their eagerness about showing their journey as an idol group. ENHYPEN is the ultimate boy group created by I-LAND. I-Land is a South Korean survival observational reality show organized by Belift Lab (BE:LIFT), which is a joint venture between the entertainment companies CJ E&M and Big Hit Entertainment. Over 20 trainees worldwide were brought in and, with active training, molded to select and form a debut group. The competition was incredible, with talent worldwide, and the prize could not have been more alluring.

In the show's finale on September 18, which was broadcast live, the show announced the final seven members who would debut as ENHYPEN. The name ENHYPEN means connection, discovery, and growth. Like how a hyphen connects words to discover a new meaning, ENHYPEN refers to how the members found each other connected and will continue to grow together.

Winning contestants include Yang Jungwon, Lee Heeseung, Ni-ki, Jake, Jay, Park Sung-hoon, and Kim Sun-oo. The six members were decided by the global ranking and the last member by the producer's choice. Heesung is considered the ace of the group, a triple threat with his singing, dancing, and visual talent.

BELIF+ confirmed that ENHYPEN is preparing and working towards debut before the end of 2020. On September 19, the company released a pre-debut promotion schedule that revealed what fans could look forward to from the September group. ENHYPEN has also unveiled a logo teaser and launched brand-new social media accounts on that day.

On Sept. 30, BELIF+ released another pre-debut promotion schedule for October, lining out the events that fans could look forward to in October.

It was announced that ENHYPEN would reveal their fan club's official name on the 9th of October. Finally, the winning name was decided upon and told to be 'ENGENE.' The unique name carries two different meanings for the group. First of all, as it sounds phonetical, ENGENE stands for "engine" or a source of fuel and energy for ENHYPEN through which they can keep going as it is only with the love of the fans they have been able to debut in the first place. Secondly, the name is a combination of "EN" taken from the first half of the group's name "ENHYPEN" AND "GENE," suggesting a thread of innate connection between the group and their fans.

On Wednesday, November 4, it was announced that the group's upcoming debut album "BORDER : DAY ONE" has successfully passed over 150,000 stock pre-orders within just two days of the opening of pre-orders. The highest numbers of pre-orders have come from Japan and the United States. ENHYPEN's debut is due on November 30, and with the debut date getting closer and closer, fans cannot wait to get the album in their hands. Since the pre-order stock sales are an essential measure for albums' physical production, the high numbers show just how much interest has been generated by the group worldwide.
