BTS and Stray Kids Take Home Awards From The 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards

BTS and Stray Kids both recently earned awards at this year's MTV EMAs!

MTV's annual Europe Music Awards took place on Nov. 8 local time, and it was broadcast from numerous cities. During the ceremony, it was announced that Stray Kids won the award for the 'Best Korean Act,' triumphing over other South Korean acts such as ASTRO, VICTON, EVERGLOW, and KARD.

Meanwhile, K-Pop boy group BTS bagged a total of four awards after being one of the nominees in five categories at this year's MTV EMAs. The boy band obtained the award for 'Best Group,' winning over BLACKPINK, CNCO, 5 Seconds of Summer, Chloe x Halle, and Little Mix. They also took home the 'Best Virtual Live' award for their online concert 'BANG BANG CON: The Live,' which was held last June 14 and had more than 750,000 viewers from 107 different regions around the world.

Another award BTS claimed was for the 'Best Song' thanks to their hit song 'Dynamite,' prevailing over Dua Lipa's 'Don't Start Now,' Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's 'Rain On Me,' The Weeknd's 'Blinding Lights,' Roddy Ricch's 'The Box,' and DaBaby's 'Rockstar' featuring Roddy Ricch. Apart from that, BTS also earned the 'Biggest Fans' award.

Last 2018, BTS took home two awards at MTV Europe Music Awards, particularly the 'Best Group' and 'Biggest Fans' awards. Then, in 2019, they obtained three recognitions, the 'Best Group,' 'Best Live,' and 'Biggest Fans.'

BTS's award list for MTV EMAs is starting to get longer, while as for Stray Kids, this is their very first time to win an award at the said ceremony.

Meanwhile, the two K-Pop boy groups have attained several awards in the previous months this year.

At the 2020 Gaon Chart Music Awards, Stray Kids won the 'World Rookie of the Year,' while BTS took home three awards, specifically 'Album of the Year - 2nd quarter' and 'Retail Album of the Year' thanks to their 'Map of the Soul: Persona,' and 'Social Hot Star of the Year.'

At this year's Soribada Best K-Music Awards, Stray Kids earned the 'Global Hot Trend Award,' while BTS received the 'Bonsang Award,' 'Daesang Award,' and 'Popularity Award' for the male category. Other than that, the latter claimed four awards at this year's The Fact Music Awards, specifically 'Artist of the Year,' 'Daesang Award,' 'Listeners's Choice Award,' and 'TMA Popularity Award.' There are other awards that BTS won this year, and they are just too many to mention.

In other news, BTS has already started the countdown for their upcoming comeback on November 20. The concept photos for the members have already been revealed, and each pic displays different motifs based on the boys' styles. The recent concept photo that was shared is those of J-Hope's. Additionally, Big Hit Entertainment just shared the concept clip (room version) for BTS's new album 'BE.'

Meanwhile, Stray Kids released its very first studio album 'Go Live' on June 17, and on September 14, the boy group launched the repackage of their album called 'In Life.'
