NCT Reveals Members that Will Take Part in Particular Tracks in 'RESONANCE Pt. 2'
NCT has unveiled the members that will participate in the tracks of its upcoming album entitled "RESONANCE Pt. 2." The album contains 21 songs in total, including 13 tracks from the group's previous album 'RESONANCE Pt. 1' plus eight new songs.
It was previously revealed that the new album would include the title track '90's Love' and five other new singles and instrumental tracks. The 'Interlude: Present to Future' is a song that depicts the flow of time starting from the present to the future, while the 'Outro: Dream Routine' is a song that displays NCT members' persistence for their future.
The title track '90's Love' is described to be a fusion of 90s hip-hop and R&B to produce a "newtro" (new + retro) vibe. It has bright, upbeat, groovy drums and a full bass line. The single follows the idea that precious things in the past are essential, so memories should be treasured.
In this song, it was unveiled that seven NCT members will take part in the recording. These are Ten, Winwin, Jeno, Yangyan, Mark, Haechan, and Sungchan.
Another single included in NCT's upcoming album "RESONANCE Pt. 2" is entitled "Work It." It is defined as an electronic dance track that has an energetic bassline and rhythmic synth sounds. It is about keeping precious memories and moving toward a hopeful future.
"Work It" will be sung by seven NTC members, namely Johnny, Jungwoo, Ten, Jisung, Hendery, Yuta, and Jaemin.
Teasers and a timeline for "RESONANCE Pt. 2" were previously announced through NCT's official social media accounts. Based on the schedule, fans can look forward to more teasers in the coming weeks and a highlight medley.
"RESONANCE Pt. 2" is part of NCT's new project called NCT 2020, which is similar to the boy group's previous project "NCT 2018." All members from different subunits would be working together on one album. The first part of their second studio album was launched on Oct. 12, and it's called "NCT 2020 Resonance Pt. 1." It features four units and two new members, specifically Sungchan and Shotaro.
The album is consists of 13 songs. NCT members were divided to participate in particular tracks. To promote the album, two songs, 'Make a Wish' and 'From Home,' were released under NCT U. 'Resonance Pt. 1' topped Gaon Album Chart, thus becoming the boy group's first chart-topper. It also entered various music charts across the globe, including Billboard's Top 200 Albums, wherein the album was in sixth place, and Artist 100 took the No. 3 spot.
On top of that, the album officially sold a total of 1,428,765 copies in pre-order alone as of Nov. 6, making it the first million-seller album of NCT. What's more impressive is that it only took less than a month to obtain the sales figure.
