The Boyz to Hold Fan-Con 'The Film Festival' in December

End 2020 with a happy memory. Maybe that's the goal of The Boyz as the boyband is set to have a special year-end concert for their fans.

On Thursday, Nov. 12, the K-Pop boy group shared a poster of their upcoming fan-con on their official social media accounts. On that same day, The Boyz's agency, Creker Entertainment, shared that the band is scheduled to hold a fan-con called "The Film Festival" on Dec. 4 and 5. It will occur at the Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park.

"The Film Festival" marks The Boyz's first concert in approximately two years since their fan-con "The Castle" that took place in 2019, from January 26 to 27. It was also held at the same venue where the group's upcoming event will take place. After the success of "The Castle," it was followed by performances in other Asian cities such as Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Moreover, The Boyz's forthcoming fan-con is a way to celebrate the group's third anniversary since their debut on December 6, 2017. The label also announced that it would be both an offline event and an online concert accompanied by a live broadcast. In this way, fans across the globe can witness the group's impressive performances. Tickets for the online fan-con will be available on Interpark starting Nov. 17 at 8:00 p.m. KST.

Meanwhile, The Boyz recently made a comeback this year. They launched their fifth-extended play entitled "Chase" on Sept. 21. It is available in three versions and consists of six tracks in total. The songs included are titled "The Stealer," which serves as the EP's lead single, "Shine Shine," "Insanity," "Whiplash," "Make or Break," and the stage version of their previous single "Checkmate."

The Boyz member Sunwoo also took part in the lyric-writing process of their fifth-extended play and other lyricists, including Kenzie, who is well-known for composing and writing tracks for famous SM artists like Super Junior, EXO, NCT, Red Velvet, and more.

During comeback promotions, The Boyz won four trophies in different music shows - once on MBC's Show Champion and SBS MTV's The Show, and twice on Mnet's M Countdown. On top of that, the boy group received their very first platinum certification from Gaon Chart for "Chase" after selling more than 250,000 copies.

Furthermore, The Boyz also released their very first studio album called "Reveal" on Feb. 10. It is composed of nine songs namely, "Reveal," which is the album's lead single, "Ego," "Shake You Down," "Scar," "Break Your Rules," "Wings," and "Goodbye."

Besides this, the boy band also participated in Mnet's reality television show "Road to Kingdom," which aired from April to June, wherein The Boyz competed against Pentagon, ONF, Golden Child, Verivery, Oneus, and TOO. On June 12, the male group launched the track "Checkmate" for the competitions' finale. The Boyz won first place, allowing them to move forward to the next part of the show called "Kingdom," which is yet to take place.
