Fans Reminisce SM TOWN Concerts by Sharing Fun Experiences
Fans are missing the good old days when SM Entertainment hold concerts featuring all artists under the agency.
SM Entertainment has been conducting joint concerts since 2008, starting with the "SM Town Live '08 Asia Tour," which started from South Korea and extended to China and Thailand. SM Town is the collective name for the Korean artists under the said label.
As the South Korean entertainment agency did not hold any joint performance this year, fans have recently reminisced the past concerts and shared their fun experiences. On Thursday, Nov. 12, one SM stan uploaded photos showing the previous SM Town concerts on an online community.
The fan posted the poster of "SM Town Live World Tour VI" that took place at Seoul World Cup Stadium back in July 2017 when a total of 61 SM artists gathered, met, and gave remarkable performances to 45,000 fans.
Reportedly, tickets for the event were rated at 110,000 KRW ($98) for ground and second-floor seats, while the price for third-floor seats was at 77,000 KRW ($69). But, if fans booked a ticket for the fandom seats on the third level through the official fan club, they could get the tickets at only 33,000 KRW ($29). And, that specific SM Town concert occurred for 240 minutes.
Fans stated that the best part of the concert was when the girl group Red Velvet performed the track "Red Flavor" as it was the perfect summer night track to energize and excite the fans.
As they recall the fun time they had during "SM Town Live World Tour VI," fans left comments like:
"I remember when 'Red Flavor' came on, everyone was like 'that's it' and went crazy."
"Sitting in the third-floor seat while eating snacks and watching SM TOWN was super fun. There were people drinking beer too."
"I always go on the third floor and it was so fun!"
"I remember that the SHINee light sticks were super powerful when it comes to light."
"It was fun! I want to go again."
"I wish they could do it again early next year."
"I know a lot of songs of SM artists, so even if I don't stan the group, I had a lot of fun jamming with them."
"I can't forget that day because I really enjoyed it."
"There's nothing bad about it. If you knew the song you would sing along."
During the SM Town concert back in 2017, several SM artists participated, such as BoA, Super Junior, TVXQ's Yun Ho, SHINee, EXO, f(x), Girls' Generation, Red Velvet, and NCT 127. These K-Pop acts performed their greatest hits and even teamed up to deliver legendary tracks of other Korean singers.
After wrapping up the "SM Town Live World Tour VI" in Seoul, SM Town flew to Japan and held four concerts, particularly at Kyocera Dome in Osaka on July 15 and 16 and at Tokyo Dome on July 27 and 28.
