Director of Television Show 'Immortal Songs' Shares Experience Working With BTS

A director of KBS's "Immortal Songs" shared her thoughts after recently working with BTS.

The most recent episode of the said television competition show featured the K-Pop boy group's hit songs produced by Pdogg. The participants performed the tracks "FIRE," "Spring Day," "Blood, Sweat & Tears," "DNA," "Fake Love," and "I Need U."

The guest singers who delivered BTS's singles on "Immortal Songs" are Sunwoo Jung-A, Song So Hee, Son Seung Yeon, Goon Jo, and ALiEN, Yook Joong Wan Band, and BAE173. Son Seung Yeon sang "DNA," along with solo artist AleXa, and took home the victory in the Nov. 14 segment of the program.

To show their support for their producer, BTS recorded a special video in which the members shared some behind-the-scenes stories about working with Pdogg and creating their hit songs.

Jung Mi Young, the director of "Immortal Songs," had met BTS during the special video filming, and she had nothing but compliments for the male group.

She stated that BTS came to the set earlier than the scheduled filming time, shocking all the television competition staff's staff. "They arrived first and got their finishing touches for their makeup," Young said.

The director added, "During the interview, you could tell that all the members were close and they are a group that gives both cool yet warm and cozy vibes."

She was so fascinated with BTS to the point that she would like to work with them again in the future, but in a different show. Young shared, "It was great to work with them in creating a performance, but as part of my dreams as a PD, I hope to be able to team up with them on a variety show that focuses on them doing charity or good deeds."

The director went on, saying, "I want to be able to convey a good message to not only domestic viewers but international fans."

This is not the first time BTS received praise from staff or workers for their great manners and personality. Previously, an airport staff, who is now an ARMY, was so impressed by the members that she couldn't help but describe and praise them through her personal Twitter account, @641kate.

Meanwhile, in the special video made for Pdogg, RM described their producer as "the root and foundation of BTS's music," while Jin stated that he's a very soft-hearted person. Jimin then said that Pdogg is not only their teacher but a colleague as well. And, V shared, "BTS was created through producer Pdogg."

In other news, BTS is gearing up for their comeback with their fifth Korean-language album "Be," which is set to be released on Nov. 20. It was recently revealed that the album's lead single is titled "Life Goes On," and it also consists of seven other songs, including BTS's latest hit "Dynamite."

And as usual, Pdogg was unveiled to be responsible for producing "Life Goes On." He also wrote the lyrics alongside BTS members RM, Suga, J-Hope, and other lyricists under Big Hit.
