A netizen on an online community forum made a post that claims that Giselle was a famous bully in the past. As a student in Japan, she would actively partake in underage drinking and smoking. The netizens continue to accuse Giselle of having done drugs while still a minor.

The netizen included photos of pre-debut Giselle and claims that Giselle's close acquaintances or friends know who she really is.

In one of the photos, a girl speculated to be Giselle is seen sitting with four boys as she holds up her middle finger and sticks her tongue out. Another photo that was included is taken from a yearbook and shows Giselle, whose real name is Aeri Uchinaga.

When the post first went up, Korean netizens believed the netizen and their claims. However, it is possible it is already because Korean netizens were not thrilled about Aespa's debut. Many had claimed that the story was true and that all of the information the netizen left added up.

Read their comments here:

"In terms of their domestic fandom, they are already done for. Honestly, the only people who would like them are stupid, and I'm definitely not one of them."

"Wah, it's true. Everything adds up."

"Hey, ladies and gentlemen, stop believe Aespa. Are the girls your friends? How long are you going to delude yourself and deny these claims? You know that it's true and that all their saying is real. What are you guys going about? Are you going to live your whole life in denial?"

"Will anyone even spend money on them? Let's be honest, BLACKPINK is too strong for SM to try to enter them in the U.S. market. I doubt they even have a chance."

As the rumors continue to be spread online, SM Entertainment has announced that they will be taking strict legal action against anyone who spreads malicious rumors and comments against Giselle. In their statement, they said, "Those who partake in creating malicious rumors and fake news article are guilty of defamation. Spreading these malicious rumors is clearly legal and we will be taking strong legal action against those who do so."

This is not the first time Giselle was looked upon badly by Korean netizens. When her individual teaser was first released, people slammed the idol for her sub-par rapping skills. At the time, Korean netizens claimed that they were unsure about her skills and claimed that many other girl group members rap better than her. Overall, she is just seen as an "idol rapper."
