STAYC's Real Visuals Revealed, But Some Not Impressed
STAYC just debuted and while they are well-loved for their professional skills, their visuals at their debut showcase (Nov. 12) received divided reactions from Korean netizens who claim that most of the girls did not live up to the beauty presented in their teasers. Read more about it here.
Once STAYC's teasers started dropping, many Korean netizens were impressed by the members' visuals. Some had even said that they had visuals that could rival SM Entertainment's new girl group, Aespa. However, many were slightly let down when they saw their true visuals. While still beautiful, many people agreed that they were not as pretty as they expected them to be.
Member Seeun is one of the most anticipated members--with many fans find her aesthetic as the traditional Korean beauty. However, at their showcase, Seeun disappointed some people with her chubby cheeks and her acne. People also claimed the idol had thick thighs and her waist was too wide. Still, people applauded her professional personality.
J was also highly anticipated. When her teasers dropped, people compared her beauty to Jeon Somin, a popular South Korean actress. Many were also in awe of her Western beauty. However, at the showcase, people claimed she did not shine as much as they had hoped and that her body was just average. People defended her, though, saying it could possibly be due to the bad styling.
People were also excited for Sieun, especially when the music video teaser dropped. People thought she had a cute, innocent visual that perfectly balanced out the group. However, some Korean netizens were quick to criticize her when it was their showcase. They slammed her for having a "fat" face. Many had even said that she looked unattractive because she had a short neck.
There is one member that received negative receptions ever since her teasers were released. People had claimed that member Sumin was the least attractive member of the group and looked down on her visuals. It did not get better during their showcase. Netizens said her visuals were just normal. Some even called her chubby because, in some photos, she had a little bit of belly fat peeking out.

Member Yoon had fans excited for her real visuals. When her teasers dropped, people had claimed that she had perfect eyes and a cold aura, with visuals like a Japanese doll. She was expected to be the best visual of the group. During the showcase, people were happy to see her visuals lived up to expectations, with people loving her long and slim legs. Still, people complained that she couldn't stand out as much due to her simple stage outfit.
Isa also surprised fans with her visuals. Initially, she did not capture the eyes of netizens with her teasers. Some even said that she had a normal face with nothing special. Following their debut showcase, however, all eyes are on her! Many complimented her for lighting up the stage with her visuals and attractive aura. People also loved how perfect her body is.
