OH MY GIRL Binnie Still Participating in Upcoming Concert Despite Back Pain

Oh My Girl's Binnie will still perform in the group's upcoming online concert.

On Nov. 20, the management company of Oh My Girl, WM Entertainment, released an official statement concerning Binnie through the band's official fan café. They revealed that Binnie recently complained about back pain while carrying out her activities. The label added that she was brought to the hospital and was diagnosed that she needs to have a break for the time being.

The agency further stated, "However, the members' willingness to keep the promise to the fans is strong, so Binnie will participate in the concert." They continued, "The choreography will be minimized in a way that Binnie will be able to move comfortably."

WM Entertainment concluded their statement by saying, "We ask for the generous understanding of the fans who have been looking forward to the concert for a long time. We will make every effort to help Binnie with her quick recovery and prepare for the concert. Thank you."

Oh My Girl is scheduled to hold an online concert called "Winter Fairy Tale: The Lost Memory" on Nov. 22 at 5 p.m. KST. It will be broadcast online and will mark the girl group's first concert in two years since their 2018 concert "Fall Fairy Tales."

On Oct. 19, Oh My Girl's YooA uploaded the official poster for the group's online concert via her personal Twitter account. The image gained attention from fans as it exudes a mysterious vibe, with the moon shining in the night sky and the water reflecting the bright moonlight.

Meanwhile, Oh My Girl made its comeback this year with its seventh extended play titled "Nonstop," which is based on a game-themed concept. The EP was dropped on April 27, along with the music video for the lead single of the same name. A total of five songs are included in the album, specifically "Nonstop," "Dolphin," "Flower Tea," "NEON," and "Krystal." Oh My Girl's Mimi took part in writing the lyrics of the lead single.

"Nonstop" and the B-side single "Dolphin" became the band's first two songs to soar high in the chart to date, taking No. 2 and No. 9 on the weekly Gaon Digital Chart, respectively.

In the following months, Oh My Girl released the Japanese version of "Nonstop" and two Japanese tracks titled "Lemonade" and "Tear Rain." On Aug. 16, the girl group launched the single "Supadupa," which is in collaboration with the animated television series "Pororo the Little Penguin." After 12 days, the band launched another collaboration song, the "Rocket Side" featuring Keanu Silva and Mougleta.

Furthermore, it was previously announced that Oh My Girl will be releasing the Japanese single "Etoile / Nonstop Japanese version" on Nov. 25. The single comprises the previous three digital tracks, particularly "Nonstop (Japanese rendition)," "Lemonade," and "Tear Rain," Moreover, there will be four versions of the single, each with a different instrumental track.


This year, Oh My Girl also received the "Bonsang" award at the 2020 Soribada Best K- Music Awards.
