Aespa member Ningning's Namu Wiki page has been falsely edited. Keep on reading to know what happened.

Namu Wiki is South Korea's version of Wikipedia. Like Wikipedia, Namu Wiki pages can be edited by users and guests. In South Korea, many fans use the website and edit their favorite idol's pages to include as much information as possible, even putting unknown trivia and videos on their page.

On top of that, Namu Wiki pages include most of the public figures' publicized information, such as their hometown, nationality, and more.

Just as how fans and guests can edit the page, haters can edit as well. This is what is happening to Aespa's Ningning. On Monday, Nov. 23, it was reported that unnamed users were editing Ningning's Namu Wiki page with false and inappropriate information.

The users changed Ningning's nationality from Chinese to North Korean and also poked fun at her weight, calling her a "fat pig" and "armpit fat." In their sats, they also make her weight extremely high and their height extremely low. What is worse is how they claimed Ningning's parents passed away.This is what her edited information reads:

"Birthplace: Pyongyang, North Korea

Nationality: North Korean

Stats: 100cm, 99999999999999999999999 kg, Blood type B

Familial relationships: Parents have passed away

Education: The best in Pyongyang, North Korea

Debut: 'Wow, a Criminal's' Digital Single 'Big Potato' in 2020

Agency: Pyongyang Naengmyun Entertainment

Group: Aespa

Position: Fat pig

Symbol: 'Hey piggy, oink oink'

Nicknames: Armpit fat, baby kitten, kitty, Ningie"

Obviously, this information is false. Ningning was born in Harbin, China, and she is the group's sole Chinese member. She is 165cm tall, and her weight is 43kg. Her position in Aespa is vocalist and maknae. The one information they got right is her blood type - she really is blood type B. 

It is highly likely that the users who edited Ningning's page will not get away with it. In Namu Wiki, those who edit the page is tracked. People can see the IP address of the user as well as the date and time they edited. People can submit these to SM Entertainment to report.

Previously, SM Entertainment announces that they were taking strict legal action against those who spread malicious rumors and spread fake news on the ground of defamation. With enough reports, it is highly likely SM Entertainment will file cases against these users.

Aespa is a four-member girl group under SM Entertainment that debuted in 2020. The group is composed of members Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning. The group is known for their unique concept of having avatar-counterparts of themselves, know as "ae."
