Alicia Keys Makes Short Cover of BTS's 'Life Goes On' From New Album 'BE'

Alicia Keys seemed to have officially become an ARMY after covering BTS's latest comeback song.

Last Nov. 19, BTS member V took to Twitter to share a video of himself enjoying Alicia Keys's "Love Looks Better." Unexpectedly, the American singer noticed the K-Pop idol's post and retweeted it with a caption, promoting BTS's new album "BE." It looks like the two celebrities have found themselves establishing a warm friendship.

While everyone thought that's the first and last time that Alicia Keys would promote BTS's new release, the Grammy-award-winning singer surprised fans with a video, which she uploaded on her personal Twitter account.

On Nov. 25, Alicia shared a short cover of a particular song with the caption "Can ya'll guess this??" As expected, ARMYs were able to identify what the song is as it is BTS's "Life Goes On." The clip started with Alicia's statement, "I bet ya'll didn't think I would play this one. Tell me if you know. It." She then began playing the piano as she sings the chorus part of the track. In particular, Keys sang the English version.

BTS's fans then flooded Keys' post as they praise the singer's beautiful voice and express their gratitude for covering the boy group's latest comeback song. Some fans even want to hear Alicia's full cover of BTS's "Life Goes On," while others anticipate how the boy group reacts.

After two hours, the "Girl on Fire" singer posted the video that garnered 11,000 comments, 60,000 retweets, and 119,000 likes. Additionally, the clip had more than 500,000 views.

In other news, BTS has shared the "into the forest" version of the music video for "Life Goes On." The video shows the members amidst green mountains and lush vegetation as they jam out to their new song. It dropped on Nov. 26 and already has 4.1 million views with 1.7 million likes.

"Life Goes On" is an alternative hip hop track that features a sentimental guitar sound. Its lyrics convey a comforting message that will help anyone overcome any circumstances that go in their way. It also boasts BTS's emotional voice. BTS members RM, Suga, and J-Hope, took part in producing the song, along with Pdogg.

The original music video for "Life Goes On" made an impressive YouTube views count in the first 24 hours.
